Top 5 Destinations in America

1. Orlando, FL

Holidays to Florida will never fail to impress! Orlando easily makes our list as one of our favourite places to visit in the US. Disney World can make anyone feel like a kid again, you can’t deny the excitement at your first sighting of Mickey! Apart from Disney, Busch Gardens and Universal Studios are also must visit parks. Busch Gardens has great roller coasters and an impressive zoo, while Universal Studio’s movie themed rides will blow your mind!

2. The Rockies, Colorado

While Denver is really cool city, getting out of Denver is where Colorado really came to life for us. The outdoor sports are endless: mountain biking, river rafting, hiking, kayaking, and the list only goes on. The whole state is a playground for adults. As soon as we arrived and saw The Rookies for the first time, we knew we had to hike one the state’s famous 14ers (14,000 foot peaks). We decided to hike The Twin Peaks, where two 14ers are joined and after summiting one, you can summit the next one in 40 minutes. So, technically, we climbed two 14ers! Hikes in Rocky Mountain National Park are also stunning. A hike around Bear Lake in the fall when the leaves start changing colors is picture perfect.

3. Yosemite National Park, CA

Yosemite National Park is one of the most grandeur things nature has ever produced. The waterfalls are stunning, wildlife freely roaming around all over, great campsites, and amazing rock formations dating back to the ice ages. We spent 3 nights in the park, hiking in the day, wandering in-between the giant Sequoia trees, swimming in rivers, and splashing around in waterfalls. Mariposa Grove (Sequoia Park) is extremely impressive, the biggest tree in the park is called, “The Great Grizzly” and is 210 feet tall and roughly 2,000 years old! If you love national parks, Yosemite has to be on your list of places to spend time in. You won’t regret it!

4. Christmas in NY

New York City is one of the best cities to visit in the world during the holiday season. What other city has an 80 foot tree, decorated with 30,000 twinkling lights? Ice skaters skating under this colossal tree, Christmas music playing for all to hear, and busy holiday shoppers buzzing around in all directions. The atmosphere is electrifying and the air filled with Christmas cheer! The famous Empire State Building showered in red and green light, Macy’s showing off extravagant holiday themed window displays, and Radio City’s Rockettes high kicking to everyone’s favourite Christmas tunes at night. NYC is a city everyone should try to visit during November or December.

5. Portland, OR

Portland, Orgeon is a culture hotspot and home of the hipsters. It’s like no other city in the US. Dominated by the artistic, with outstanding beer breweries on every street corner, and out-of-this-world food stalls serving up dishes from all over the world. Not to mention Portland’s strip joints are well-known for serving the best steaks in the state! The line of people waiting to get inside Voodoo Donuts was crazy, it wrapped around the block! The unusual variety and toppings made it fun to pick and choose our box to take away, the maple-bacon donut was definitely the strangest.
